okay so we all know this part stinks, but this is mandatory, so be sure to read all of them. a violation of rules may result in a warning, three day ban, week ban, or permanent ban depending on the severity of the offense.

[style=font-family: arial; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px grey; font-size: 10px; color: #0f0202;]so it should really so unsaid that we expect people to be respectful of each other, but we will say it just to make it a point. we ask that you also try to be fair with everyone and try not to form little groups, the whole point of this site is to plot and thread with everyone and be a community. safe and sound is a one character per account site, which pretty much means, no having more than one character on your new account, make a new account for every new character. safe and sound does have a three hundred word count, it may seem high but it is actually pretty easy with a little bit of trying and practice. please register your name in all capitals, ie. "JANE SMITH." as per proboards terms of service you must be thirteen or older in order to join. we run on real-time so if it's april twenty-twelve in real life, it is april twenty-twelve in the game.

[style=font-family: arial; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px grey; font-size: 10px; color: #0f0202;]this is a human rp, so no roleplaying horses. just a basic that i figured i should state. we ask that all characters be a minimum of sixteen years old, there is no limit as to how old your character can be. but keep it real, a sixteen year old cannot handle a stallion, and a ninety year old cannot show jump. there is no limit as to how many characters you have, and there is no gender ratio. however if one gets out of hand we will have to put a ban up. as for face claims: actor/actresses, models, and those in the horse world only. proboards is really cracking down on the use of myspacers, ect. being used on here so it is best to just leave those out. please no perfect characters, everyone has faults that is a given. however, to go hand in hand with that, please no sob stories either. if a character's parents died when they were kids and they grew up in their uncle's house and he was a drunken drug addicted bastard who abused them. chances are they don't live in the hamptons, could afford a performance horse or lessons. so what we are asking, is in reality to keep it real. please. also, not all characters have to be related to the horse world! you can have a supermodel celeb that lives in the hamptons, it is okay!

[style=font-family: arial; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px grey; font-size: 10px; color: #0f0202;]again we have a three hundred word count. no chat speak. in roleplay, horses cannot talk, your character can't have special abilities that allow them to communicate with their horse, and they cannot abuse animals. your characters can curse all they want, but please leave that out of the chat please. we do allow fluid time, so your character can have two threads can be a week apart even if you post them on the same day. you must use the 'fade to black' rule, so keep it pg-13 please, if a thread gets any higher then that it will be deleted without warning and you will receive a warning. you can have as many threads as you like. not everything has to be played out, if your character buys a new horse, you don't have to thread it, that's the beauty of it all.

[style=font-family: arial; text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px grey; font-size: 10px; color: #0f0202;]this game focuses on eventing and english disciplines. however, characters can ride western, own racehorses, and anything else. we ask that you keep things realistic, no it isn't really saf eot take a two or three year old horse to a grand prix jumping trial, why? their joints are developed yet and one wrong move and those horses are out of the rest of their career, and that's just among things that can happen. please keep it real no shetland ponies jumping over three and a half feet. no horses jumping over seven and a half feet. remember this is an upscale farm, so horses probably might be biters or kickers, but horses that are known to jump fences will not be allowed, however if it happens under the circumstance of a storm or something, and the horse spooks and does it, it is a lot better then if a horse does it time after time after time. no horses named after famous horses. no duplicating real life horses. you can you real horses picture, but please famous horses only. so really this is mostly just common sense information. there is just one rule. characters must be at least nineteen years old in order to own a stallion. your character can have as many horses as they can afford. we don't have a money system since it is too difficult to keep track of and you know your characters financial state better then we do, so its fair.
