east hampton, ny has been a playground for the rich and famous since the nineteen nineties. however horses have always been in it's culture. home to some of the best of the best, not only in the equine world, but the locals, which include the rich and famous and those who require better then the best. with such high-end clientele stone river has always suited up for the challenge of caring for not only the horses but the riders as well.
however after a tragic accident last october, the owner of stone river passed away. leaving the farm to his niece, harmony ward. the kentucky girl is still trying to get a grasp on everything, but with some pretty particular clients the future of stone river and the stone river annual horse trials are unknown. it should be an interesting ride for not only the riders and boarders of stone river, but as well as the local celebrities, especially seeing as the farm is sitting on some massive and prime property. only time will tell what is to come of stone river under its new ownership.
